Airdrop Mac to iPhone doesn't work- El Capitan 10.11.2

I have a MacBook Pro retina 2015, El Capitan 10.11.2

iPhone 6 and iPad air with iOS 9.2

I can use airdrop between my idevices but not between Mac and iPhone or iPad

Mac to Mac works.

With Yosemite I was able to airdrop to every idevice

Now it doesn't .

I've done everything suggested:

I updated to 10.11.2 few days ago hoping to get it fixed but it didn't

I already trashed the bluetooth prefs, reset Pram, sign out of iCloud and sign back in

(this way I lost all my contacts too, recovered from Time Machine afterward)

I checked my firewall and nothing is blocking, I even turned firewall off completely, but no success

At one point even Handoff wasn't working anymore after trashing some prefs. Now luckily it does .

This means computer and device can talk to each other but not airdropping?

It doesn't make any sense!

What else can be done at this point?!

Why some people are able to airdrop and some not?
